What is “Flushable”?

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

If it isn’t toilet paper or human waste, please do not flush it!

Although the toilet may seem like a simple and easy way for disposal, it is not a trash can. Even though items may disappear down the drain, many of them are not dispersible once they start traveling through the pipes, which can cause a lot of inconvenient and expensive problems for homeowners and sewer crews. Everything that gets flushed either travels to your septic system (which will eventually be pumped and brought to a wastewater treatment plant) or travels through the pipes of the city’s sanitary sewer system and arrives for treatment at a wastewater plant like LAWPCA.
